Zach Phillips

Publishing Technical Lead at Serenity Forge

Zach Phillips has worked in the gaming industry since 2017. In 2018, they were an Instructor at iD Tech Camps, teaching 13-18 year olds the basics of Unreal Engine, C++, and Level Design. Zach also worked as an Executive Producer for the second week of each session, where the students would make games in small teams based on what they had learned. In 2019, Zach was a Design and Tools Intern at Frame Interactive, where they reworked the "Detonator" Unity Tool to use the new Unity particle system instead of legacy systems. Zach also worked as a Lead Systems Designer at the Emergent Media Center, a game studio run by Champlain College. Zach also worked as a Student Ambassador at Champlain College, giving tours to prospective students and working on Admissions Projects. In 2020, Zach worked as a Game Programmer at Serenity Forge, and as an Online Private Instructor at iD Tech Camps, where they instructed numerous clients in multiple hour long sessions on the basics of Unity and Unreal Engine as well as teaching coding fundamentals in C# and C++.

Zach Phillips completed a Bachelor's degree in Game Design with a minor in Game Programming from Champlain College in 2020. In November 2019, they obtained the Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Additionally, they are certified in CPR - First Aid - Adult and Child from the Red Cross Blood Services.
