Fergus Jenkins

Manager of Projects at Serica Energy Plc

Fergus Jenkins is the Manager of Projects at Serica Energy Plc. Prior to joining Serica, they were with Solo Oil from March 2012 to March 2020, where they served as a Non-Executive Director. Fergus was also with LGO Energy plc from March 2012 to August 2017, where they served as Chief Operating Officer/Technical Director.

At LGO, Fergus was responsible for technical and operational matters across the group. Fergus helped re-develop an oil field in a remote rain-forest location in Trinidad, which went from producing 30 barrels of oil per day at acquisition to peaking at over 2,000 barrels per day. Fergus also served on the board of the main company and subsidiaries, and worked with the executive team to ensure the survival of the company when it experienced a “perfect storm” of issues at the end of 2015.

Fergus has a wealth of experience in the oil and gas industry, and their knowledge and expertise have been invaluable to Serica as they continue to develop their projects.

Fergus Jenkins has a MEng in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, and a BEng (Hons) in Mining Engineering from Camborne School of Mines.

Fergus Jenkins works with Andy Bell - VP Finance, Carol Stewart - BKR Business Manager, and Stephen Lambert - VP Commercial. Fergus Jenkins reports to Mitch Flegg, Chief Executive Officer.
