Malek Faham

Malek Faham is a prominent scientist with extensive experience in biotechnology and genomics. Currently serving as Chief Scientist at Illumina Ventures since October 2017 and Chief Scientific Officer at AccuraGen since July 2015, Faham has also co-founded and held advisory roles at several notable companies, including Vineti and Sequenta Inc. Previous positions include Vice President of Oncology Technology Research at Affymetrix and Co-Founder and Director of Research at ParAllele BioScience. Malek Faham's academic background includes a residency in psychiatry and an MD/PhD in medicine and genetics from the University of California, San Francisco, complemented by a BA in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
