Girly Ratshekani

Girly Ratshekani is an emerging professional in the mining industry, currently serving as a Mining Intern at Seriti Resources since February 2024. With a strong academic background, Girly is completing an Honours degree in Mining at the University of the Witwatersrand, where involvement in various capacities includes organizing mine tours and serving as a Vice Chairperson and Academic Officer within the school's mining engineering council. Previous experiences at Seriti Resources include roles as a Vacation Student and contributions to rehabilitation design and coal quality improvement projects. Girly also gained practical exposure through internships at South32 and Sibanye-Stillwater, completing multiple vacation work stints that focus on mine planning and engineering fundamentals. In addition, Girly has been actively involved as an Academic Tutor at Teach Me 2 since July 2022.
