Kate Atwood

Kate Atwood is a seasoned strategist and leader with extensive experience in nonprofit and organizational management. As the Chief Strategy Officer at Serqit, Inc. since July 2025, Atwood continues to drive strategic initiatives. In 2002, Atwood founded Kate's Club, a nonprofit in Atlanta dedicated to supporting children and teens navigating life after the loss of a parent or sibling, and has served as an advisor since its inception. Previously, Atwood was the Executive Director of LoCo Plus from February 2020 to June 2025, and held the inaugural Executive Director position at ChooseATL, where an award-winning initiative to attract young talent to Metro Atlanta was launched. As the Executive Director of the Arby's Foundation from June 2011 to September 2015, Atwood redefined the organization's strategy, resulting in significant contributions to combat childhood hunger. Early career experience includes serving as an Account Executive at GEM Group, where Atwood managed key partnerships such as that with UPS and NASCAR. Atwood holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science degree in Sociology from the University of Virginia.
