Alex Sidorenko has a diverse work experience in the field of risk management and decision making. Alex is currently working as the Group Head of Risk, Insurance, and Internal Audit at SVPM | Mineração Serra Verde since August 2023.
Alex is also known as the Founder and host of RISK AWARENESS WEEK, which is the largest online risk management and decision making conference. Alex started this role in October 2019 and continues to host the annual event.
Before that, they worked at EuroChem as the Head of Operational, Investment Risk, and Insurance. During their time there from October 2019 to April 2022, they successfully implemented a risk and insurance framework aligned with ISO31000/COSO ERM and UK and Swiss corporate governance codes.

Alex also held teaching positions at National Research University - Higher School of Economics and Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, where they lectured on risk management.
Prior to these roles, Alex worked as a Senior Risk Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where they helped clients integrate risk management into their strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Alex Sidorenko completed their Bachelor of Business degree in Risk Management, Quantitative Analysis, Forecasting, and Statistics (Econometrics) from Monash University from 2002 to 2005. In addition to their degree, they also obtained several certifications: "Certified ISO 31000 Risk Management Lead Trainer" and "Certified ISO 31000 Risk Management Professional" from The Global Institute for Risk Management Standards in 2015, "Certified Risk Management Professional" from RUSRISK in 2015, and "RISK AWARENESS for Charity" from RISK-ACADEMY in 2022.
