Harish Rao

Harish Rao is a seasoned professional specializing in vaccine development and process engineering, currently serving as General Manager of New Product Development at Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd. since February 2016. With experience spanning over two decades at Serum Institute, notable contributions include leading the development and scale-up of HPV and Acellular Pertussis combination vaccines, along with managing the recombinant HPV vaccine project. Previous roles at Serum Institute included senior managerial positions focused on process development of recombinant therapeutic proteins and purification of Hepatitis B antigens, along with early experience at Wockhardt Research Centre in scale-up development of Hepatitis B antigen. Harish Rao holds a Master's degree in Microbiology from the University of Mumbai.
