Sajjad Desai

Sajjad Desai is a seasoned professional in clinical research with extensive experience at Serum Institute of India Limited since November 2006, currently serving as Deputy Medical Director. In this role, Sajjad is responsible for designing and executing Pre-clinical and Clinical studies, particularly overseeing Phase I to Phase III/IV clinical trials, including the development of the ROTASIIL Rotavirus Vaccine in collaboration with PATH and Médecins Sans Frontières. Previous roles include Manager at Clinigene International Ltd, Head of the Clinical Pharmacology Unit at Aurobindo Pharma, and Clinical Research Scientist at Lupin Research Park R&D. Sajjad holds an MD in Pharmacology and an MBBS, both degrees obtained from Shivaji University.
