Matthew Medlock

Matthew Medlock has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Matthew is currently working at Serve Robotics as a Founding Engineer & Principal Systems Engineer since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Founding Engineer & Staff Systems Engineer from July 2022 to January 2023, and Founding Engineer & Lead Systems Engineer from March 2021 to June 2022 at the same company.

Before joining Serve Robotics, Matthew worked at Uber as a Senior Systems Engineer (Serve Robotics) from December 2020 to February 2021. Matthew also worked at Postmates Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer (Serve Robotics) (Acquired by Uber) from September 2019 to December 2020.

Earlier in their career, Matthew worked at Verb Surgical Inc., an organization acquired by Johnson & Johnson. Matthew held the position of Systems Engineer from December 2018 to August 2019 and previously worked as a Systems Integration Engineer from July 2016 to December 2018.

Matthew started their career as a Research Engineer at Vanderbilt University from May 2015 to July 2016 and from October 2015 to October 2012. Matthew also served as a Research Assistant at Vanderbilt University from October 2012 to September 2013.

Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant at dkfz - German Cancer Research Center from September 2011 to July 2012, and as a Fellow at the U.S. Department of State from August 2011 to July 2012.

Matthew's early career also includes a Research Assistant position at Stanford University from May 2010 to August 2010.

Matthew Medlock attended Vanderbilt University where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Matthew also studied Molecular Biology at Heidelberg University. Prior to their higher education, they obtained a High School Diploma from Arkansas School for Mathematics, Sciences, and the Arts.
