Christopher Cano, M.P.A., has extensive experience in political and legislative affairs, currently serving as the Director of Political & Legislative Affairs for SEIU Local 500 since April 2017. Previous roles within SEIU include Senior Organizer and Coordinator for Member Political Engagement. In addition to this, Christopher is active with NORML as both a Board Member and Executive Director of Central Florida NORML, while also serving as the Executive Director of Suncoast NORML. Past experience includes Chief Political Director for the Hillsborough County Young Democrats, a Democratic Candidate for the Florida State House District 62, and Campaign Manager for Jim Lange for Congress. Education includes multiple degrees from the University of South Florida, culminating in a Master of Public Administration, and an initial education at the United States Air Force Academy.
