Sarah David Heydemann

Sarah David Heydemann serves as the Assistant Director for Legislation at SEIU since July 2022, following a role as Senior Counsel at the National Women's Law Center from September 2017 to July 2022. Earlier experience includes positions as Associate at Cohen, Weiss and Simon LLP and as Law Clerk at various organizations, where responsibilities encompassed legal research, drafting memoranda, and representing clients in hearings and arbitrations. Heydemann has contributed to significant labor and employment law cases, supported organizing campaigns, and engaged in policy analysis to enhance worker protections. Educational background includes a Doctor of Law degree from Northeastern University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
