Douglas Spear

Douglas Spear has extensive experience in legal roles. In 1998, they began their career as an Associate at Pietragallo, Bosick & Gordon. Douglas then moved to Morris Manning & Martin in 1999, where they worked as an Associate. In 2006, they became a Partner at DLA Piper, and four years later they moved to Nelson Mullins, where they worked as a Partner until 2017. Douglas is currently the Managing Director at Service Provider Capital, a role they have held since 2017. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Chief Legal Officer at Greenlight.

Douglas Spear obtained their JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law between 1995 and 1998. Prior to that, they earned their BA in History from the University of Pennsylvania between 1991 and 1995. Douglas completed their high school education at Shady Side Academy from 1987 to 1991.
