Kimberly Jenks is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in philanthropy, marketing, sales, and human resources. Currently serving as the Director of Philanthropy at Serving Seniors since July 2019, Kimberly previously held the role of Special Events & Marketing Manager at the Center for Community Solutions from 2016 to July 2019. Kimberly's background includes significant contributions at Continental Controls Corporation, where responsibilities included account management and project oversight, and a tenure as a Specialty ESL/Business English Instructor at Executive English Solutions. Additional experience includes roles in human resources and sales coordination at Excel Hotel Group and Residence Inn by Marriott. Kimberly holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Business from San Diego State University and an Associate’s Degree in Communication from Utah State University Eastern.

Helping seniors in poverty live healthy and fulfilling lives. WHO WE ARE: Serving Seniors is a San Diego based nonprofit with a national and international reputation for providing impactful programs and services to older adults living in poverty. Serving Seniors is supported primarily by donations, grants, bequests and investments. Our staff, board and volunteers believe every person is worthy of respect and dignity. Our goal is to provide seniors life sustaining services in a welcoming and supportive environment where they can get the help they need. Nearly 5,000 low-income seniors rely on Serving Seniors every year, and we are proud to provide all our services free of charge. WHAT WE DO: Since 1970, Serving Seniors has been transforming the aging experience through our innovative approach to providing comprehensive services. Our method has earned national recognition as a model for helping seniors remain healthy and independent. We’re the only organization in San Diego, and one of the few in the United States, that provides such a broad base of vital services to vulnerable, low-income older adults. Our Programs Include: -Meals -Affordable senior-friendly housing -Homeless outreach, support and transitional housing -Social and supportive services -Learning, socialization and fitness opportunities -Health and wellness services WHO WE SERVE: More than 85% of our clients live below the Federal Poverty Level and struggle to meet basic needs, living on less than $1,000/month and paying $750 in rent, leaving just a few dollars a day to pay for food, medication, transportation and other expenses.
