Born in Empoli (FI) in March 1947, after having obtained the scientific maturity he graduated in Political Science at the University of Florence.
After some work experience in the IT sector, in 1973 he founded Sesa as a service and data processing company aimed at industrial and commercial companies in Tuscany. In 1975 he founded, together with some of the main entrepreneurs in the IT sector, Anasin (National Association of Computer Services, today Assinform) where he is still a member of the National Council.
In 1983 he starts the collaboration with IBM; Sesa becomes an IBM Agency and in a few years the main IBM business partner for IT solutions aimed at the SME segment. In 1994 he promoted the establishment of Computer Gross, a distributor of IT solutions based in Empoli. The Company of which Paolo Castellacci has held the position of President since the beginning was born from the partnership between some of the most important IBM agencies including Sesa and in a short time, thanks to the distribution contracts of the main reference Vendors on the ICT market (IBM, Microsoft , HP, Oracle, Cisco) becomes the largest Italian value-added distributor of IT solutions.
He holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors of SeSa SpA, Chairman of ITH SpA, the controlling holding of the Sesa Group and Chairman of the Sesa Foundation.

SeSa SpA, formerly Made in Italy 1 SpA, is an Italy-based company primarily engaged in the information technology industry. The Company is active in the distribution of information technology (IT) for business sector and end users. The Company operates in three business units. The Value-added IT distribution (VAD) unit, through its subsidiary Computer Gross Italia SpA, focuses on distribution of software and hardware technologies on the market. The Software and System Integration unit, through Var Group SpA, includes the offer of software, technology, services and consultancy, aimed at training and supporting businesses as end users of IT. The Corporate and Logistics unit includes the activities carried out by the Group's, including administration, human resources, finance and control, as well as the storage, assembly, customization and handling of products. It operates through NTT Srl.
