Ion Mateescu

Ion Mateescu is an experienced data strategist and analytics leader, currently serving as Vice President of Data Strategy and Analytics at Sesame Workshop since October 2022. Previously, Ion held the position of Vice President Data and Analytics at Insider Intelligence, where the focus was on executing data strategy using a Machine Learning studio to optimize business processes. Ion's career includes roles as Vice President of Data Strategy at Trusted Media Brands, Head of Data Science and Analytics at Thomson Reuters, and Director of Data Science at Condé Nast, among others. With a strong foundation in data management and analytics, Ion has developed predictive models, built data platforms, and managed enterprise-wide data governance. Education includes a Master of Science in Earth Sciences from Hunter College and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Institutul de Constructii Bucuresti.
