Andreas Boschen currently serves as the Executive Director of SESAR Joint Undertaking since July 2022. Prior to this role, significant contributions were made at the European Commission from May 1998 to June 2022, advancing through roles such as Head of Department at the Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency, focusing on sustainable networks and investments in transport and energy infrastructure, and Head of Department at the Innovation & Networks Executive Agency, overseeing the Connecting Europe Facility for transport, energy, and ICT infrastructure. Earlier positions included serving as a Policy Officer for EU transport policy and inter-institutional coordination at the Secretariat General. Andreas Boschen's career began as a Diplomat at the Auswärtiges Amt in Germany from May 1994 to April 1998, and prior to that, experience was gained as a Historian at Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung from October 1992 to April 1994. Educational achievements include a Master / State Exam in History and German from the University of Cologne and a Master’s degree in History from Université Bordeaux Montaigne.
