Jacob Maggard

Jacob Maggard is the current President at Setld. Prior to this, they were the Manager of Technical Information Management at BP from February 2015 to March 2016. In this role, they were responsible for reducing risk, improving decision making and driving efficiencies across all business units and functions by maximizing return on data and information assets.

Under Jacob's leadership, the Technical Information Management organization grew and flourished. Jacob successfully rolled out a massive re-organization of disparate data management teams and staff into a cohesive unit, allowing for better load balancing and accuracy of budgeting and prioritization. Jacob also eliminated waste within the organization, saving the company millions of dollars per year. In addition, they led the team in building sustainable new frameworks for database views, QC methods, web form entry, dashboards, Spotfire charting / reporting and automatic emailing of reports, charts, alerts.

Jacob has been instrumental in guiding the delivery of numerous new, sustainable, automated information products for Health & Safety, Regulatory Compliance & Environmental, Exploration, Land & Finance, Drilling & Completions, and Operations (Production). Jacob also continued to expand upon BP's world-class One Map platform, personally creating several novel, ongoing Geospatial analyses. As a result of Jacob's leadership and dedication, the One Map Portal unique daily user average increased by 25% (300) despite a 25% company-wide staff reduction.

Jacob Maggard received their diploma from Alvin High School. Jacob then went on to Alvin Community College where they earned their AA in General Studies. After ACC, Jacob transferred to the University of Houston-Downtown where they completed their BS in Interdisciplinary Studies as well as their BBA in General Business. Finally, Jacob obtained their MBA from the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a concentration in Environmental Management.
