Fernanda Wenzel

Fernanda Wenzel is currently an Associate Systems Engineer at SetPoint Medical since March 2023. Previously, Fernanda served as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University's Cook Cardiopulmonary Engineering Group, where activities included device fabrication for biocompatibility testing, assisting with clinical charting, and conducting sample processing during preclinical studies. Additionally, Fernanda worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for Biomedical Engineering and held grading positions for courses in Dynamic Systems and Controls and Linear Algebra and Vector Calculus. Fernanda has also gained experience as a Software Engineering Intern at Uber and as a Summer Camp Group Leader and Counselor at Camp Parkwood. Fernanda holds a Master of Science degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, as well as a high school diploma from Great Neck North High School.
