Sven Pekelder

Sven Pekelder has a diverse work experience that spans over several companies and roles. Sven started their career as a Mechanical Engineer at a small development firm in 1997 and worked there until 2003. Sven then joined Vlisco Helmond as a Production Engineer for a year before moving on to Saint Engineering, where they worked as a Senior Engineer specializing in mechanical engineering, production automation, and manufacturing consultancy. In 2004, Sven joined ASML as an Architect, C&T Designer, and Teamleader, where they designed part of the infrastructure for gas, fluids, and water in different platforms. Sven was also an architect and designer for the EUV source's thermal, gas, and fluid systems. Around this time, Sven also worked as a Senior Engineer at Saint Engineering. From 2006 to 2011, they became the CTO and co-owner of the Settels Savenije Group of Companies, where they played a crucial role in technology consulting. In 2009, the company changed its name, and Guustaaf Savenije joined the company. Sven then briefly worked at OLED Technologies as a Senior Program Director and Acting COO, managing development projects for new machines for OLED display production. Sven returned to ASML in 2010 as a System Engineer responsible for flow and temperature control systems and the layout for the next generation of Extreme UV lithography machines. Overall, Sven Pekelder has a robust background in engineering, technology consulting, and management in the manufacturing and electronics industries.

Sven Pekelder began their education at Het Goese Lyceum in 1984. Sven studied there until 1990, completing their VWO (secondary school) education. Following this, they attended Eindhoven University of Technology from 1990 to 1996. There, they earned a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
