Settlement Music School
Andreia Torain is an experienced music educator and performer specializing in violin and viola instruction. Currently serving as a violin and viola teacher at Germantown Friends School since August 2020, Andreia focuses on developing students' posture and technique in small group lessons. For nearly three decades, Andreia has been a violin teacher at Settlement Music School, where responsibilities include teaching private lessons, coordinating the Suzuki program, and coaching chamber music. As a freelance violinist, Andreia has performed with several orchestras and ensembles, demonstrating a strong commitment to both education and performance. Andreia's academic credentials include a Master of Music in String Pedagogy from Temple University and a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance from Ithaca College.
