Emily Dawson

Emily Dawson is an experienced music educator with a strong background in teaching and curriculum development. Currently serving as a Music Teacher at The School District of Philadelphia since August 2020, Emily instructs 300 students weekly and successfully received the Music and the Brain Grant for music curriculum enhancement. Previously, Emily taught at Settlement Music School and Chula Vista Elementary School District, where over 500 students were served weekly, and coordinated numerous school concerts. Additional experience includes roles as a Teaching Artist for the San Diego Youth Symphony, private flute instructor, and intern in various music programs. Emily holds a Master of Arts in Music Education from Liberty University and a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and Music Performance from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
