Settlement Music School
Younkyung Rhea Kim is an accomplished music educator with extensive experience in teaching and music direction. Currently serving as a faculty member at Settlement Music School and Philadelphia Piano Institute, Younkyung also directs music at First Baptist Church of Philadelphia, INC. Previously, Younkyung held the position of Adjunct Faculty Instructor of Piano at Kabarak University, where individualized curricula were developed for undergraduate students. With previous roles including faculty positions at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music and as Music Director at First Baptist Church Bloomfield Indiana, Younkyung has a diverse background in performance education and concert series organization. Younkyung holds a Doctor of Music degree in Piano Performance, Music Theory, and Arts Administration from Indiana University Bloomington, alongside a Master's degree in Music Performance and a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance from Oberlin College.
