Jay Fill has an extensive work experience spanning several companies. Currently, they serve as the Director of Product Development at Séura since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant specializing in marketing, product management, and business development from October 2019 to March 2021.
Before becoming an independent consultant, Jay Fill held positions at Vista Outdoor Inc. and BRG Sports. At Vista Outdoor Inc., they served as the Category Director for Bell Sports' bicycle accessory business from August 2016 to July 2019. In this role, they successfully launched the Bike Party novelty light brand, exceeding the year one goal and securing placements in key retailers such as Target, Fred Meyer, Amazon, and Walmart.com.
During their tenure at BRG Sports, Jay Fill held multiple roles, including Category Manager from January 2012 to July 2016, where they managed all product marketing efforts for Bell's bicycle accessory business. Jay achieved a 7% growth in total category revenue by leveraging consumer insights and innovation. Additionally, they served as a Senior Product Manager from June 2005 to September 2012, driving growth and managing categories across multiple divisions of Easton-Bell Sports. Notably, they launched a successful Walmart-exclusive line of Riddell branded youth football apparel and drove double-digit growth for Bell's largest cycling accessory category.
Before their time at Vista Outdoor Inc. and BRG Sports, Jay Fill worked as a Product Manager at Crayola from May 1999 to June 2005.
Jay Fill has a Master of International Management (MIM) degree with a focus on Marketing and Asian Studies from Thunderbird School of Global Management. Jay also holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business Management with a minor in English from the University of Kentucky. In addition to their formal education, Jay has obtained several certifications including Sales Foundations, Sales Prospecting, Excel: Creating a Basic Dashboard, and Scrum: The Basics from LinkedIn.
