John McKinney

John McKinney has an extensive work experience spanning over three decades. John started their career in 1991 as Treasurer and Founder of Faraway Foundation, where they served until 1999. From 1999 to 2005, they served as President of Verde Renewables. Later, from 2005 to 2009, they worked as Managing Partner of Greenrock Capital. In 2010, they joined Columbia Biogas as its President, where they served until 2017. Between 2017 and 2021, John worked as President and CEO of Sevana BioEnergy. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Sevana Bioenergy LLC, a position they assumed in January 2022.

John McKinney attended the University of Colorado from 1983 to 1987 where they completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Real Estate Development.
