Gianluca Cesari

CBDO & Co-Founder at Sevensense Robotics

Gianluca Cesari has been involved in the robotics industry since 2012. In that year, they were an intern at Consorzio LIAM. In 2013, they were an Intern in R&D at OCME Packaging Equipment. In 2014, they were a Research Intern at ABB Corporate Research, where they developed a proof of concept demo for a Human-Robot safe collaboration system. In 2015, they were a Visiting Research Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley. In 2016, they were a Robotics Engineer at the Autonomous Systems Lab, ETH Zürich and a Research Assistant at the Robotics and Perception group, where they were involved in a project aiming to compete at the MBZIRC Robotics Challenge in AbuDhabi. In 2018, they were a Robotics Engineer at Wyss Zurich and a CBDO & Co-Founder and Robotics Engineer & Co-Founder at Sevensense Robotics AG.

Gianluca Cesari completed a diploma di maturità from Liceo scientifico statale "Enrico Fermi" from 2004 to 2009. Gianluca then obtained a Laurea in Automation Engineering from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna from 2009 to 2012. Gianluca went on to receive an Automation Engineering Bachelor Degree from Tongji University from 2010 to 2013, and in 2013 they also obtained an IELTS certification from the British Council with a score of 7/9. Gianluca then earned a Master's degree in Robotics, Systems and Control from ETH Zürich from 2013 to 2016.
