Thomas Eppenberger

Senior Robotic Perception & Computer Vision Engineer at Sevensense Robotics

Thomas Eppenberger has held a variety of roles in the robotics industry since 2013. In 2013, they completed an internship at Schindler Aufzüge AG (Switzerland). From 2015-2018, they held the roles of Bachelor Thesis Student and Teaching Assistant at ETH Zurich. In 2017, they held internships at both GE Inspection Robotics and Kistler Group. From 2018-present, they have held the roles of Master Thesis Student, Semester Thesis Student, and Robotic Perception Engineer at Sevensense Robotics. While at Sevensense Robotics, their role as Robotic Perception Engineer has focused on perception and local mapping for autonomous mobile robots with a focus on people detection and tracking.

Thomas Eppenberger obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich in 2016. Thomas then went on to complete an exchange semester at the University of Pennsylvania from 2016 to 2017, studying Robotics, Systems and Control. Thomas returned to ETH Zürich to complete a Master of Science (MSc) in Robotics, Systems and Control, which they obtained with distinction in 2019. Thomas also obtained a Bachelor of Science ETH in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich in 2016, which was in the top 2% of their class.
