Robert McDonald Jr. currently serves as the Military Deputy to the SOCOM Acquisition Executive at USSOCOM, overseeing acquisition strategies and program performance for special operations forces. With extensive experience in the US Army, Robert has held leadership positions such as Brigade Commander and Battalion Commander of the 922nd Contracting Battalion, managing civilian and military personnel and executing policies for the 101st Airborne Division. Additionally, Robert has contributed as a Defense Acquisition Program Analyst at the Department of Defense and as Chief of Business Operations at the Defense Contract Management Agency, managing significant contracts across multiple regions. Robert holds a Master’s degree in Military National Resource Strategy and Policy from the National Defense University, an MBA in Finance from Webster University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. Currently, Robert is also involved with Project Transition USA, supporting fellow transitioning military personnel.
