With the support of our entire community, we create life changing opportunities through training and the power of work. Goodwill SF Bay serves thousands of people in our community every year who are emerging from military service, incarceration, homelessness, recovery from addiction – or simply lacking education or job skills. We provide no cost career services, job training and connections to jobs at Goodwill or one of our 334 employer partners. 

Goodwill relies on a combination of material and financial donations. While many nonprofits must raise 100% of their operating and program budget, our employment social enterprise allows us to leverage every item donated through our 33 donation centers and purchased at one of our 34 stores, 2 warehouse outlets or online - to generate 85% of the revenue we need. This leaves a gap of 15% to be raised through philanthropy and government support.

The Human Resources team at SF Bay Goodwill manages employee relations, recruitment, payroll, and data coordination to support the organization's mission of providing life-changing opportunities. They ensure compliance with employment laws, oversee hiring and onboarding processes, and foster employee engagement to maintain a motivated and efficient workforce. The team also analyzes HR data to improve operational efficiency and coordinates with other departments to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
