Umutcan Silan

Umutcan Silan is a seasoned financial professional with a robust background in trading and strategy development. Currently serving as a Credit Trader at SFI Markets since January 2023, Umutcan engages in fixed income trading in various currencies, utilizing macro analysis and quantitative modeling while acting as a market maker for the Turkish sovereign and credit markets. Prior to this role, Umutcan was a Multi Asset Trader at ÜNLÜ & Co from July 2018 to January 2023, focusing on investment strategies across global macro and emerging markets. Additional experience includes positions in Treasury Sales at Burgan Bank Türkiye and DenizBank, as well as serving as a Teaching Assistant in Public Economics at Sabanci University. Umutcan holds a Doctoral Studies degree in Economics from Università Bocconi and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Sabanci University, complemented by a strong foundation in Mathematics and Physics from Uskudar Science School.
