Scott is a Managing Director with Susquehanna Growth Equity and has been with the group since its inception. He focuses on financial services, healthcare IT and human resources technology.
Before joining Susquehanna, Scott was an investment banker with Broadmark Capital, a boutique investment banking firm serving telecom, technology and internet companies. He started his career at Gabelli & Company and worked directly for the founder Mario Gabelli, widely considered one of the greatest value investors of all time.
A product of the 1980s, Scott was a serious video game junkie and today boasts one of the most complete collections of games and game consoles for the Vectrex, Odyssey, Atari, Commodore 64, Vic20, Intellivision, Colecovision and Sega. Scott’s favorite games include 1-on-1 Larry Bird vs Dr J, Pitfall, Yars Revenge, Tecmo Bowl and The Bard’s Tale. Scott also considers himself one of the greatest Chexx Dome Hockey players of all time and still owns one of the original machines featuring the “Miracle on Ice” game from the 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics where amateur and collegiate players from the USA defeated the Soviet Union national team on their way to winning the gold medal.
Having been a New York Knicks fan his entire life, Scott has learned how to be humble and intimately understands how to manage through failure and significant losses; lessons he regularly shares with the entrepreneurs with whom he works.
Scott graduated with a B.S. in Finance from the Wallace E. Carroll School of Management at Boston College with concentrations in Economics and Computer Science.
