Andrea Bono

Andrea Bono is a Senior Consulting Engineer in the Building Technology group at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc., with sixteen years of experience in the design, investigation, and rehabilitation of various building types. Andrea's expertise encompasses commercial, healthcare, educational, civic, hospitality, residential, and LEED buildings, particularly in relation to below-grade spaces, podium decks, exterior components, cladding, and roofs. Responsibilities include collaboration with architects, contractors, building owners, and sustainable design consultants for design, analysis, and repair of building enclosures. Prior roles include internships at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger, Rudolph and Sletten, Inc., and O.C. Jones & Sons, Inc. Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and a Professional Program degree in Sustainable Design from the University of California, Berkeley.
