Ellen Laase

Ellen Laase, P.E., is a Senior Consulting Engineer specializing in Building Technology with over 10 years of experience in the investigation, analysis, design, and construction administration of building structures and envelopes, including many historic buildings. They began their career as an intern at Peter Andrew Barrett Architectural Conservation Consultant, followed by roles at Monroe & Newell Engineers, Inc., and the University of Macau, where they focused on historic preservation research. Currently, at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH), they investigate and design building envelopes for projects, many of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Ellen earned a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder.
