Francesco Baccarani is an experienced aviation professional with a background in technical and sales management within the aerospace industry. Currently serving as Area Manager for SGI Aviation since September 2008, Francesco oversees operations from both technical and sales perspectives, specializing in project management during aircraft redeliveries and repossessions. Previously, as VP Technical, Francesco managed a portfolio of over 140 engines for various lessors, leading engine pre-purchase inspections and shop visit management. As Program Manager and Engine Team Leader, Francesco directed a team of engineers in asset management and inspections for various commercial engine types. Francesco's earlier tenure as Technical Manager at IASG involved consultancy for aircraft and engine lessors, providing engineering support to airlines. Francesco began the career as a Power Plant Engineer at Volare Spa. Educational qualifications include an Engineer’s Degree in Aerospace from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
