Oliver Gehret

Oliver Gehret has extensive experience in corporate sustainability, strategy development, and management consulting. Currently serving as Director of Corporate Sustainability at SGL Carbon since July 2011, Oliver Gehret has held various senior roles in strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and sustainability. Prior to SGL Carbon, Oliver Gehret worked as a management consultant and interim manager, and held leadership positions at Siegwerk, where responsibilities included site direction and supply chain management, as well as operations efficiency. Oliver Gehret’s earlier career included a role in corporate development at Trevira, where participation in post-merger integration was key. Additionally, experience as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company laid a strong foundation for future roles. Academically, Oliver Gehret holds a Dr. Ing. in Physical Chemistry from Technische Universität Darmstadt, along with significant qualifications in business administration and leadership programs at INSEAD and The Tuck School of Business.
