Nicholas Holbrook has a diverse work experience in software engineering and consulting. Nicholas is currently working as a Software Engineer at SGNL since June 2022. Prior to this, they co-founded SpeaQ in 2020, where they built a successful web platform connecting advertisers with partner audiences. Nicholas has also held the role of Software Development Consultant at Holbrook Consulting Services, LLC from September 2018 to May 2022, where they provided guidance to product owners and led backend development efforts for multiple organizations.

Nicholas has gained valuable industry experience through internships at Google in 2020 and Amazon in 2019. At Google, they worked as a Software Engineering Intern, while at Amazon they redesigned the on-device FireOS device engagement metrics service using AWS.

Additionally, they worked as a Software Development Intern at Ally in 2018, where they developed and deployed a dealer facing promotional website and created an internal Angular component library. Nicholas also designed and implemented a proof of concept website to expedite internal hiring processes.

Before their internships, Nicholas worked as an IT Systems Technician at VisiCom Services Inc. from October 2017 to May 2018. Nicholas diagnosed hardware and networking issues, provided support remotely and on-site, and configured and deployed servers and other networking hardware. Nicholas also created custom PowerShell and Batch scripts to optimize internal processes.

Nicholas Holbrook pursued their education in computer science, starting with their enrollment at Oakland University in 2017. However, the specific degree they obtained during this time is not provided. Following their time at Oakland University, Nicholas Holbrook transferred to the University of Michigan in 2019, where they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 2021.

In addition to their academic achievements, Nicholas Holbrook also obtained several certifications in AWS (Amazon Web Services). In July 2018, they received the certification as an AWS Certified Developer - Associate. Later, in June 2019, they achieved the certification as an AWS DevOps Engineer - Professional.
