Brian McMeekan

Brian McMeekan has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and companies. Brian is currently a Lead Auditor at SGS since 2022. Prior to that, Brian worked at the Royal Air Force (RAF) for over 20 years. Their roles at RAF included Information Assurance/Security Specialist, Protective Security Specialist, Police Duties Manager, Tactical Provost Wing Operator, and General Police Duties. Brian also had a brief stint at B&Q as a shop floor employee.

Brian McMeekan attended St Mary's College, Blackburn from 1998 to 2000, where they obtained their A-level qualification. Prior to that, from 1993 to 1998, they attended OLSJ, Blackburn and completed their GCSEs. In terms of additional certifications, Brian obtained a Security Check Cleared certification from the UK Government in October 2021. Brian also earned certifications such as ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor - Information Security Certification from Bywater in 2021 and CompTIA Security+ from CompTIA in 2015. Additionally, they hold certifications in mental health first aid from the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 2015, and clean sports advising from the UK Anti-Doping organization in 2021. Brian is also in the process of obtaining an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 Transition Course certification from SGS, with an expected completion in 2023. Brian has completed a Disclosure and Barring Service Check administered by the UK government in 2021.
