Nathan Doherty

Nathan Doherty is a seasoned professional in the music and marketing industries, currently serving as Managing Partner at Shabang Music Productions since November 2017, where responsibilities include directing creative outreach and business development for Shabang Music Festival. As the Founder of Respect the Funk since January 2017, Nathan demonstrates entrepreneurial acumen. Previous experience includes serving as Creative Marketing & Event Director at Whalebird Kombucha from September 2018 to October 2020, where Nathan was responsible for creating branded media, managing marketing activations, and coordinating sponsorships. Additionally, Nathan held the role of Publisher at KCPR Cal Poly Radio from November 2017 to June 2018. An alumnus of California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, Nathan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Management and Protection with double minors in Construction Management and Journalism.
