Waqas Kazi

Waqas Kazi has a strong background in quality control and lab analysis. Waqas began their career in 2004 as a Computer Science Teacher at Saqib Public School. In 2007, they moved on to become a Computer Science Teacher at Paxton Grammar School. In 2009, they transitioned into the pharmaceutical industry, working at Maple Pharmaceuticals (Pvt.) Limited in the Chemical Laboratory. Later that year, they joined GSK where they had various roles, including Operational Quality Department, Sterile and Otics Production Department, and Raw Material Analyst in the Chemical Laboratory. In 2013, they worked as a Lab Analyst at ATCO Laboratories Limited before moving to Ray Pharma (Pvt) Limited as a Senior Lab Analyst the same year. In 2014, they served as the Chemical Lab Incharge at ROOMI ENTERPRISES INC. Since 2015, Waqas has been working at Shabbir Tiles & Ceramics Limited (HOH), initially as an Assistant Manager Quality Control Ceramic Tiles and currently as a Deputy Manager QC, Lab and R&D.

Waqas Kazi began their education in 1999 at Little Folks Paradise, where they obtained their SSC degree in Computer Science in 2001. Waqas then attended Govt. College for Men, Nazimabad from 2001 to 2003 and completed their HSE degree in Pre-Engineering. In 2003, they pursued a DIT degree in IT from both Noor College Of Professional Education and Skill Development Council (SDC). During the same period, from 2003 to 2006, Waqas attended YMCA Polytechnic Institute and earned a DAE degree in Mechanical.

Waqas went on to study at Karachi University, where they obtained their B.Sc. (H) degree in Applied Chemistry from 2005 to 2008. Waqas further pursued higher education at Karachi University and completed their M.Sc. degree in Applied Chemistry in 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Waqas obtained various certifications throughout their career. In 2018, they earned the Operations and Performance Management Professional certification from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Waqas also obtained the High Impact Communication Skills certification in 2018, offered by the PSTD - Pakistan Society for Training & Development. Furthermore, Waqas holds the ISO 9001:2008 Awareness Certification from Robust Pro Canada, obtained in 2016. In 2015, they acquired the 7 QC tools with Minitab certification from Robust Pro Canada. Finally, Waqas completed the Introduction to Environmental Science course offered by Dartmouth College in 2015.
