Shad Canada
Christine Freeman, CFRE, currently serves as the Advancement Manager at Shad Canada since January 2020, where the organization focuses on fostering talents in a STEAM-based holistic learning environment. Additionally, since March 2021, Christine has contributed as a board member for the Pearce Williams Summer Camp & Retreat Facility, promoting personal growth and environmental stewardship in youth. Previously, Christine worked as the Manager of Partnerships & Philanthropy at The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, overseeing a national donor portfolio, and held positions including Office Administrator at Saturn Power Inc., and Program Manager at Junior Achievement of the Waterloo Region, where Christine managed over 800 volunteers. Christine also served as Executive Director for the Business & Education Partnership of Waterloo Region and was part of the Leadership Waterloo Region class of 2005. Christine holds a BA in Sociology from the University of Waterloo.
Shad Canada
Shad is Canada’s premier live-in summer enrichment program for high-potential high school students focused on STEAM and entrepreneurship. Participants spend 27 days in July living at one of 19 host university campuses across Canada and engage in transformative, experiential learning.
