Shivalik Kumar

Shivalik Kumar is a seasoned professional in procurement and raw material sourcing within the steel industry, currently serving as the Head of Raw Material Sourcing at Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel since April 2014. In this role, Shivalik has successfully sourced metallics, fluxes, alloys, and minor alloys from newly developed sources in Iran, achieving a 12% reduction in procurement costs. Prior experience includes the position of Manager Procurement where a Total Refractor Management contract was established, resulting in a 22% decrease in refractory costs per ton of liquid steel. Earlier roles at Shadeed Iron & Steel LLC and Jindal Steel & Power Ltd involved conceptualizing and executing pricing models and negotiating long-term contracts. Shivalik holds a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from DAV Institute of Engineering and Technology, earned between 2004 and 2008.
