Larissa Hsia-Wong, Ed.D. has a diverse range of work experience. Their most recent role was as a K-2 Curriculum Developer at Seesaw Learning since June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Kindergarten Lead Teacher at Presidio Hill School from July 2020 to June 2022. Larissa also served as the Assistant Lower School Director at Chinese American International School from August 2019 to July 2020, and as a Kindergarten/1st Grade Lead English Teacher at the same school from August 2017 to July 2019. Larissa has also worked at Taipei American School as the Lower School EAL Program Coordinator and Teacher from June 2013 to June 2017, and at Kaohsiung American School as a Middle School ELL Teacher from July 2011 to June 2013. Larissa has experience as a TEFL Curriculum Developer at WorldTeach from September 2010 to May 2011, and as a Natural Resource Management and Community Education Volunteer with Peace Corps from September 2007 to November 2009.
Larissa Hsia-Wong, Ed.D. pursued their education with a focus on social justice educational leadership. Larissa completed their Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree from the San Francisco State University Graduate College of Education between 2019 and 2022. Prior to that, they attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education from 2010 to 2011, where they obtained their Ed.M. (Master of Education) degree in the field of Human Development and Psychology. Earlier in their academic journey, Larissa Hsia-Wong graduated from Georgetown University between 2003 and 2007, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree, with a major in Chinese and Psychology.
