Dr. Angela Goodrum has extensive work experience in the education field. Dr. Angela began their career in 1993 as an Education Professional at Shaker Heights and the Shaker Heights City School District. In September 1993, they also worked as an Educational Consultant for the City of Shaker Heights until November 2019. Dr. Goodrum then joined Indiana Weslyan University in August 2006 as an Assistant Professor until August 2012. Dr. Angela subsequently became an Assistant Professor at Murray State University in August 2011, where they served as the Lead Social Studies Methods Professor and Graduate Level Professor for instructional strategies, action research, and assessment. Dr. Angela also served as a committee member for Diversity Initiatives for Kentucky.
Dr. Angela Goodrum has a diverse education history. Dr. Angela began their academic journey by earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from Walsh University, where they studied from 1985 to 1989. Dr. Angela then pursued a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching at John Carroll University, which they completed in 1993. Dr. Goodrum continued their educational endeavors and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Akron in 2000. Dr. Angela'spassion for education is evident in their varied educational background and pursuit of advanced degrees.
