Trustee at Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

Rebecca Dobbs is a multi award-winning Producer/Director in film and television. Founder and director of TV production company - Maya Vision International, she has made well over 100 films that have been shown worldwide, including The Story of China, for the BBC and PBS. Formerly Chair and Management Committee member of Belpark Housing Co-operative, a board member on the Arts Council Artists Film and Video and Animate schemes, and a Governor of Staffordshire University, Rebecca is an experienced committee member. She also has a long and close connection with Stratford. In the last fifteen years she has produced the BBC’s In Search of Shakespeare series which has been seen all over the world; she has worked with the RSC, King Edward VI’s School, Holy Trinity Church, and Stratford-upon-Avon Town Council, on projects for the BBC, PBS and the international market, and to raise awareness and funds for the institutions. Her latest full-length BBC film Shakespeare's Mother, strongly featured the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust properties.
