Brian Deutsch

Brian Deutsch is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications and marketing. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist for the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community (SMSC) since May 2022, Brian develops communications targeting community members, employees, and the public while partnering with various SMSC departments and enterprises. Prior to this role, Brian held positions including Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at the University of Minnesota, where responsibilities included media relations and content development, Graduate Assistant for Sports Information at Robert Morris University, and several roles focused on athletic communications at the University of Minnesota. Brian's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism (Strategic Communication) and History from the University of Minnesota.
