Rakesh Gupta

Rakesh Gupta has extensive work experience across various companies and industries. Rakesh began their career as a Management Trainee at National Organic Chemical Industries Ltd in 1991 and later joined Asian Paints as a Project Executive. At Asian Paints, they handled improvement, modernization, and expansion projects, as well as overseas plant setups. Rakesh also oversaw the implementation of ERP software. Rakesh then joined Aditya Birla Group as a Senior Manager Projects, where they supervised project management operations across different sectors. Rakesh continued their career at United Breweries, where they held multiple positions, including Divisional Vice President - Head of Engineering & Projects. Rakesh spearheaded various projects and managed engineering and project activities across multiple plants. Rakesh then served as Senior Vice President Engineering and Maintenance at Mumbai International Airport Limited, where they led the development of airfield ground lighting systems and oversaw passenger boarding bridges. Most recently, they have been working at JSW Paints as Senior Vice President, responsible for supply chain, manufacturing, commercial, and projects. Rakesh has been leading initiatives to ensure on-time delivery and availability of all products. Currently, Rakesh is the Director of Manufacturing at Shalimar Paints.

Rakesh Gupta completed their education at multiple institutions. Rakesh first attended Dr Antonio D Silva Technical High School & Junior College from 1982 to 1987. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute from 1987 to 1991. During the same period, they also attended Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute and obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering.

In 1995, Rakesh enrolled at SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) and earned a Master's in Finance (MFM) degree in 1998. Additionally, they completed a Management Development Programme at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 1996.
