Susan Gillis Chapman is an accomplished author and mindful communication trainer with extensive experience in contemplative psychology and education. Currently working with Shambhala Publications, Susan authored "The Five Keys to Mindful Communication," which has sold over 10,000 copies and been translated into multiple languages. Through self-employment, Susan provides private coaching and public workshops based on the book. Susan's previous roles include serving as an Acharya and senior teacher at Shambhala International and faculty member at the Karuna Institute, where programs on contemplative psychology were taught. Early career experiences include significant positions in community counseling focusing on domestic violence and supporting battered women and children. Susan holds a Master’s degree in Buddhist and Western Psychology from Naropa University and a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Philosophy from the University of British Columbia.
