Adam Mickelson has extensive work experience in software development and leadership roles. Adam started their career as an intern at American Century Investments, where they provided desktop services and telecommuter support. Adam then interned at Garmin International, working on the Internet Team as an applications developer.

After completing their internships, Mickelson joined Garmin International as an Applications Developer, where they developed Java web applications for both internal and external websites. Adam later became a Software Engineering Team Leader, responsible for leading a team and overseeing the development of various software projects.

Mickelson then moved to Balance Innovations, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, developing cutting-edge SaaS products for retailers. Adam was later promoted to a Software Engineer Team Lead role, leading a team of engineers in developing software using technologies such as C#, REST WS, Rabbit/other queuing tech, and IoT.

Most recently, Mickelson joined Shamrock Trading Corporation as the Director of Software Development. In this role, they manage multiple teams working on both customer-facing and internal applications. Adam'sresponsibilities include working in an agile environment and utilizing cutting-edge technologies.

Additionally, Mickelson has experience in teaching as an Adjunct Professor at Johnson County Community College. Adam taught programming fundamentals and object-oriented programming using C#, planning course material, teaching lessons, facilitating class discussions, and assessing and grading student work.
