Alon Ariel

Alon Ariel possesses extensive experience in the logistics and shipping industry, currently holding positions in governmental regulation and affairs, as well as general cargo planning and business development at Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd since December 2020. Responsibilities include establishing the general cargo department, managing vessel window calls, and fostering relationships with local shipping agents and transport companies to capitalize on new business opportunities. Prior roles include Terminal Operation Controller, where logistical management of container movements was overseen, and various positions at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company and ZIM Integrated Shipping Services focusing on sales targets, customer service, and logistics coordination. Alon holds an MBA specializing in shipping and seaport management from the University of Haifa and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Management from The Max Stern Yezreel Valley College, along with a certification in financial software.
