Matthew Johnson

Matthew Johnson is an experienced educator and sports professional with a strong background in physical education. Currently serving as the Head of the Physical Education Department and Experiential Learning Coordinator at Shanghai Singapore International School since August 2022, Matthew also teaches high school physical education and specializes in movement and strength. Prior roles include PE Teacher and DofE Coordinator at Shanghai United International School Qingpu, and PE Teacher and Student Council Coordinator at Changwai Bilingual School. Matthew holds a Master of Education from the University of Sunderland, alongside an IPGCE in Secondary Education. Additionally, previous experience includes roles as Sports and Fitness Development Officer at Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas and Managing Director of JES Pte. Ltd., a successful educational and sports company in Singapore.
