Katherine Vanbuskirk

Katherine VanBuskirk has a diverse work experience in the field of communications and public relations. Katherine most recently served as the Director of Communications and Community Affairs at Shannex Incorporated since May 2016. Prior to that, they worked as the Senior Manager, Corporate Relations at the Canadian Cancer Society - Nova Scotia Division from July 2015 to May 2016. From April 2012 to July 2015, Katherine worked as a Corporate Affairs Advisor at Bell Aliant. Katherine also served as a Senior Communications Advisor at Halifax Regional Municipality from November 2009 to April 2012. Before that, from February 2002 to November 2009, they worked as a Senior Public Relations Counsel at Bristol Group. Katherine began their career as a Communications Specialist at Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline in 1999.

Katherine VanBuskirk obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dalhousie University, where they attended from 1989 to 1993. Later on, they pursued a Bachelor of Public Relations degree at Mount Saint Vincent University from 1996 to 1999.
